At a time when Europe is going through deep political, economic, cultural and social changes, it’s urgent to develop links among people in every field.
The Portuguese students of L.A.’s awareness of this fact has lead to the creation of the Portuguese Association of Landscape Architecture Students – APEAP – in March 1989.
Facing the European single act ’92 and a growing proximity to the East block countries, the same students decided to promote the establishment of international links, starting a discussion in that direction, in a meeting which is also to be a revelation of Portugal!
In March 1990 the European Meeting of Landscape Architecture Students takes place. One more step is taken, aiming at a more united Europe, the first step in searching for the communion of this art apprenticeship.
