STRUCTURE:
Mostly lectures. Seminars, projects and excursions. There are no standard timetables so it is up to you to choose whatever you want to study.

EXAMINATION:
Mostly oral exams; projects end in a written elaborat.

DIPLOMA:
The diploma can be absolved in most institutes (not necessarily in institute for landscape planning). You can choose one assistin professor. The oral exam is about the written elaborate which has to be done and about a general topic.

TIMETABLE 1994/95:
There is a list of possibilities, you can choose. It is also important to look what’s up at the other Vienniese universities, like the technical or biological.

PROGRAMME:
Designing is the most important. A lot of attention is going to the estetics and form of lines in the sense of art. Althoug you need enough basis of theoretics to pass.

DURATION:
3 years

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISS.:
To have a Belgian A2 diploma

STRUCTURE:
Theoretics, practics and excursions mixed in 2,5 year. Then, a half year of practise out of school.

EXAMINATION:
Exam at the end of each schoolyear, in May and June.

DIPLOMA:
You get a graduate diploma after three passed years. But, as our study isn’t protected you don’t need the Diploma to actually be a landscape architect.

TIMETABLE 1992/93:
The 27th and 28th of June we have an open garden day at our school.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISS.:
You have to send your highest qualification doploma to the ministrie of education and will see if it’s equivalent to our A2 diploma. If so, you’re atmitted. If not, you have to start in alower grade. For more info, you can ask your own abassade.

PROGRAMME:
The landscape courses are closely associated with architecture. There is generally an emphasis on the art and design of the landscape with an increasing degree of specilasation towards the later stages of the courses. Specilasations: Computer Aided Design, Landscape Planning, Urban Design, Advanced Landscape Design and Environmental Assessment.

DURATION:
3 years full time to BA (Hons) + Year out + 1 year
Diploma is the basic model for students entering the profession. The masters programmes consist of 1 _ years of study following the year out. Exemptions may however be offered on the basis of prior experience and learning

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISS.:
General University entry requirements plus a portfolio of drawn/art work. The University promotes a policy of open access to applicants from wide range of backgrounds.

STRUCTURE:
The courses are organised in semesters and are structured around a system of units, with credit accumulation and transfer. Teaching is organised in lectures, seminars, technical workshops and design studios. Design project work forms the core of the studies. Core (mandatory) units are offered alongside optional units thus facilitating a variety of pathways according to individual requirements and interests.

INTERNATIONAL PROG.:
The school is closely linked with both architecture and landscape schools in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Poland and Russia. There are similar contacts with schools in the USA. REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISS.:
Turkish and turkish Cypriot students seek admission for the first time must take the examination organized by the student selection and placement center. Only students who gain adequate points can be admitted.

STRUCTURE:

EXAMINATION:
In each term we have one mid-term exam and one final exam. 40% of the mid-term exam (plus+) 60% of the final exam must be at least 50 marks in order to pass.

DIPLOMA:
The students who succesfully complete the courses and practical works are awarded B.Sc diploma indicating the programme they completed.

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISS.:
Must bear the nationality of a country than Turkey, must be in their last year of secundary education or have succesfully completed secundary education at any turkish lycee or at a school equivalent to a turkish lycee. Must meet the specific requirements of the institutions of higher education in which they wish to enter. Selection and placement for foreign students in institutions of higher education is carried out through the student selection system on the basis of the results of the examination for foreign students.

INTEREST COURSES:
Those whose turkish is considered to be thadequat exelent opportunities are offered by TÖMER (turkish language teaching center at Ankara University). And those who are succesfull in the final exams are awarded TÖMER’s diploma which is recognized by all the universities in Turkey. A course week comprises 20hrs of instructions each lasting 50min. And charge per hour is 1,5$ Dollars (US). The courses are designed both for winter and summer terms.

POST GRADUATE PROG.:
The candidates who wants to apply for Ph.D.programme must have a graduate degree of same major or if they have duate degree from a different field or major they must have the approval of the executive concil of the post-graduate school. Post-gradaute examination consist of scientific, academic and foreign language exams.
