European Network

ELASA holds a unique position in Europe as the only continent-wide, interdisciplinary association of students in landscape architecture and related fields. We belong together in a network with organisations like: IFLA Europe (representing the professional sphere), ECLAS (coordinating academic institutions), the universities, the national student groups and the national professional associations.

Thanks to this position, ELASA acts as a bridge between education, professional practice and international exchange. Students gain early access to a European-wide network, while institutions benefit from student perspectives on current challenges, teaching formats and the future of the profession. As an informal but historically established node linking diverse organisations and cultures, ELASA plays an essential role in shaping a shared European understanding of landscape architecture.
